Blackwater House

Positioned on a coastal Greenfield site within native family landholdings, a traditional vernacular informed the composition of this building which makes up this rural dwelling.  The massing of the building is broken into three distinct volumes and is connected by an enclosed glazed entry space.

The layout and design makes the most of the natural light.  The use of oversized glazing integrates the connection and enjoyment with of the garden and house. The mixture of traditional building forms and materials with modern detailing creates a contemporary appearance for the dwelling yet respects the scale and style of the traditional rural landscape.
